Job Description

The ideal candidate for the Sales Director position is a motivated individual that possesses strong interpersonal skills and an unwavering commitment to excellence and results in sales and customer service. This is a full-time position demanding peerless organizational and multi-tasking capabilities, and the ability to drive sales through creative and innovative initiatives.


  • Lead generation: Develop sales leads via original research and other lead generators (trade show networking, industry associations) and ensures that sales and account information retained in the Salesforce CRM is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Marketing: Actively seek out and initiate new ways to market Iconic Adventures to identify prospective clients. Lead the Iconic team with sales support programs such as the development and distribution of collateral, organization and execution of promotional programs, and account communication via mass e-mail blasts or direct mail campaigns. Additional marketing responsibilities may include assistance with trade show operations and logistics.
  • Sales Generation: Leverage existing and new potential contacts and convert to new sales.
  • Sales Tracking and Reporting: Enter and track all progress in Iconics CRM as needed.  
  • Sales Media: Enter and track all progress in Iconic's CRM as needed.
  • Customer Service: Maintain the highest level of customer service as an agent of Iconic Adventures
  • Teamwork: As part of a small and growing company, we all play an equal and exciting role in growing the business, and this position will integrate into every facet of Iconic’s daily operations.

Desired Qualifications

  • High aptitude for quickly learning trip logistics, cost structure and design.
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the outdoor/travel industry.
  • Excellent team communication and consistent first class customer service
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • An engaging, informative and friendly phone & email demeanor.
  • Ability to work with little supervision or direction, prioritizing short and long term projects on a day-to-day basis insuring accomplishment of personal and company goals.
  • Capacity to represent the values, ideals and ethics of the company both within the company and to external customers
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly master CRM
  • Above all, has a passion for travel and the outdoors!


The ideal candidate will thrive in start-up atmosphere and will be an early-stage employee of a growing organization. The position has the option of being in the home office, in Steamboat Springs, CO, or may work out of their home-based office. The position does require some travel to managed events, and compensation will be based on qualifications. Candidate will be eligible for a $900 Recreation Credit after 60 days that can be used towards any pass in Steamboat Springs or Colorado (ski pass, gym membership, yoga classes, etc.)
